Dr Mo Dirani completed his PhD at the age of 26 years, where he established the world’s largest twin study to investigate the genetic and environmental risk factors of myopia. In 2008, Mo undertook a post-doctoral appointment at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he co-led a study that produced one of the first and most cited scientific papers on the protective nature of outdoor activity in the development of myopia. Mo has published over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts in prestigious medical journals, regularly invited to speak as an expert in myopia across the globe, published several Government commissioned reports and has received several competitive scholarships, fellowships and scientific awards. More recently (2015-2017), Mo led Australia’s first nation-wide study to assess the burden of blindness in Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, completed his MBA at the Australian Institute of Business (AIB) and is a graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). Mo currently holds an adjunct research fellow position at the Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI).

Mr Kevin Tay

Before joining the plano team, Kevin worked in the polymers and engineering plastics industry, with roles spanning business development, product management and technical sales. His experience involved coordinating projects for key clients such as HP, as well as the development of nascent business accounts in Korea, Japan and Israel through new-use applications of polymer resins.
Kevin is an MBA graduate from the Nanyang Business School, with a double degree in Strategy and International Management from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He also holds a Bachelor’s (honours) degree in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
Mr Kelvin Eng

Having worked on strategic marketing and research challenges in the Asia-Pacific region for more than a decade in both client and agency roles, Kelvin is well regarded as a strategic and pragmatic adviser in helping clients from a variety of sectors to identify strategic insights and transform them into actionable outcomes. After spending a number of years working in Australia, culminating in senior strategic marketing and insights roles with various blue chip enterprises and consultancies, Kelvin returned home to Singapore.
Sensing a latent need for quality marketing and business consulting in the region, Kelvin founded AntzWorkz Consultants, an award-winning strategic marketing consultancy with a specialist niche in marketing research to help clients optimise their business decision-making, In 2018, AntzWorkz was also named Local Research Agency of the Year.
Kelvin is an MBA graduate from Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne where he specialised in marketing and strategy. Kelvin has also completed an international MBA programme at ESSEC, Paris, where he excelled in luxury brand management.
Mr Kelvin Li

Kelvin Li is a serial go-getter in scaling up the IT capabilities of both corporates and start-ups to be best in class over the last 15 years. In his last role prior to plano, Kelvin held various leadership roles and played an integral role in a start-up that eventually listed on the mainboard of SGX. Kelvin has the rare ability in understanding the importance of building quality and scalable systems for the long term while balancing other business interests.
Kelvin joined plano with the exact same intent – to build plano’s IT capabilities to not just compete with the best but also to create a sustainable competitive advantage. In a matter of months, Kelvin was able to identify, recruit and lead a highly competent team of ten to enhance the stability and usability of the plano ecosystem successfully. New competitive features are also introduced on a regular basis, thereby raising plano’s overall value proposition.
Kelvin graduated with a honours degree in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
