Dr Mo Dirani completed his PhD at the age of 26 years, where he established the world’s largest twin study to investigate the genetic and environmental risk factors of myopia. In 2008, Mo undertook a post-doctoral appointment at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he co-led a study that produced one of the first and most cited scientific papers on the protective nature of outdoor activity in the development of myopia. Mo has published over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts in prestigious medical journals, regularly invited to speak as an expert in myopia across the globe, published several Government commissioned reports and has received several competitive scholarships, fellowships and scientific awards. More recently (2015-2017), Mo led Australia’s first nation-wide study to assess the burden of blindness in Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, completed his MBA at the Australian Institute of Business (AIB) and is a graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). Mo currently holds an adjunct research fellow position at the Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI).

Mr Daniel Tan

Daniel is an English and Singapore qualified solicitor with over 15 years' experience in cross-border and domestic corporate and banking law. He has advised some of the world's top financial institutions and corporations in the areas of syndicated loans, structured finance, asset finance, trade finance, project finance, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, note issuances and regulatory matters.
In 2015, he co-founded Page Advisor, a Singapore and Malaysia-based online marketplace for services. Concurrent with his legal practice at Clifford Chance, he is also the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Legal Officer at Page Advisor.
Daniel is married with three children, and enjoys travelling, photography and food. He also volunteers with various community organisations, and is a member of the fund raising committee of Stroke Support Station, a Singapore charity which provides assistance to stroke victims and their caregivers.
Daniel read law at King's College, London and also holds a postgraduate diploma in Singapore law from the National University of Singapore.
Professor Jonathan Crowston

Jonathan Crowston is a clinician-scientist and Director of the Centre for Eye Research Australia. He completed his ophthalmology training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, a PhD at UCL and postdoctoral work at UC San Diego. His research aims to understand why aging renders the optic nerve vulnerable to glaucoma and to develop optic nerve targeted treatments enhancing neurorecovery as well as clinical tools for assessing these. He has published 170 pubmed listed manuscripts, is founder of Oculo (www.oculo.com.au), serves as a clinical and scientific advisor to a number of biotech companies and has received a number of awards for his research.
Ms Jan Young

Jan Young is a UK qualified Chartered Accountant, having trained with Cooper & Lybrand, with over twenty years experience across a broad range of corporate functions –accounting, audit, taxation, financial management, human resources and communications – gained in both private and public sector organisations in the UK, Continental Europe, Australia and Asia, with extensive experience in Singapore. Jan is currently owner and Managing Director of Expat Consulting, a provider of finance, company secretarial and business expertise to SME's and is a registered Filing Agent with ACRA. Prior to this Jan has worked with MNC's spending 10 years with SSL International plc as Head of Investor Relations and Communications and Head of Group Financial Planning.
